week #21: the dictator
yeah, so i’ve never seen one of sacha baron cohen. i’ve heard of borat and bruno and how explicit they were. i seemed sort of funny, so i decided to dive into the barrel and see if his films are worth a shit. well first of all i’d like to say that aladeen is a very likable character. i think he’s pretty hilarious. the plot line though seemed a bit retarded. i think the dialogue was funnier than the acted out physical slapstick moments. there’s not much more to say. there’s no intellectualism about the film other than poking fun at the history of dictators. hmmm, i don’t think i’ll be seeing again.
