week #6 ½: hesher
- yes i’ve been watching a ton of movies lately but i can’t help myself. some of them aren’t worth a damn writing about, others are. in addition to ‘winter’s bone’ i also saw ‘chronicle’ and ‘hesher’ this week, i hated chronicle so decided to write about ‘hesher’. first off, the acting was amazing. joseph gordon levitt didn’t look ANYTHING like himself, he also played a very different role than from the roles he usually plays. he was great as a crazy ass heavy metal punk that simply doesn’t give a fuck. natalie portman looked super cute as usual, rainn wilson was a convincing depressing dad, and devin brochu did great playing a troubled kid who just lost his mom. the dialog was great, story was sad, comedic. it had a little bit of everything in there. this i definitely want on dvd.
