    week #6: winter’s bone yeah i know i’ve been behind on updating. but i have two more weeks to fill in for yea! so apparently based off a book, winter’s bone is a creepy introduction to the world of hillbillies and mountaineers. gray, cold, dead trees everywhere. the cinematography was on point. jennifer lawrence also boosts the film up to a level of high excellence because she does a damn well job as a daughter trying deal with the messes of her father. even though they all live in the same sort of area, nobody really trusts each other and shady dealings are often dealt in the shadows. ree dolly (jennifer lawrence) on the other hand is only preoccupied with raising her two siblings and making sure they have shelter and food on the table. i watched this movie by myself, at like three o’clock in the morning, with all the lights off. its one of those movies i think people should watch by themselves to get the full effect of it all. don’t be afraid to get uncomfortable! “never ask for what oughta be offered.” ★★★★★ 4/5
